11:45 Adult & young on top of blind, young is feeding itself. No other action until ~12:20 when adult made a pass at the fish remnants & youngsterflipped its wing up & out to protect it. 12:25 adult made a brief low flight over the marsh & back. ~2 minutes later it flew again, this time headed NW toward Rte 1 & OOS. An osprey circled the nest at 12:35 then flew low to the north & landed on one of the low platforms along the Taylor River, but not the Landing Rd site. After finishing its meal the chick stood, flapped its wings assuredly several times then plopped down in the nest to rest.

12:25 From the N end of the old RR tracks at the end of Depot Rd in Hampton Falls. Found 2 duck blinds, 1large & empty & the other, smaller with an adult osprey perched on the roof. Closest view yet, but still too distant for routine observations. Can't see any defined nest, but roof appears darker than the rest of the blind. While I was scanning the marsh a 2nd osprey joined the 1st on the roof.

Apparently 2 new nests on duck blinds. I believe neither has been reported before. Both are rather shallow with sticks on top of each of the blind. It's possible both are brand new. I saw no signs of young in either although 2 adults were on the "Seabrook" nest & one adult was on the "Hampton Falls" nest with no incubation noted. Both nests are visible from the Yankee Fisherman's Coop, but very far away (~a mile). From the Coop one is lined up just to the right of the Seabrook Nuke plant and the other is lined up just to the right of the big white building in Hampton Falls south of the marsh area on Rt. 1.

09:00 From end of Island Path in Hampton Beach found several duck blinds well out into the marsh to the south, but the heat waves are tough & the blinds are distorted & the no-see-ums are plentiful. Next I went to the pulloff at the NW side of the Tidewater Creek bridge on Rte 101. No no-see-ums here, only thirsty green head flies. From here there are 3 duck blinds in a row well out in the marsh with Seabrook Station in the background. Appears to be a distorted dark area on top of the east-most, but again heat waves are bad. Found an osprey perched on an inverted 'V' post north of the suspect blind, but when it flew it immediately disappeared into the heat waves, so I couldn't tell where it flew. Need a better viewing site and/or a cloudy day.

Two birds in "New Duck Blind" nest spot. Seems like a new nest spot on duck blind in northern part of Hampton Harbor marsh in Hampton. I saw it from the north end of the Hampton Harbor Marina from the parking lot at the far north end and looking west or northwestward. Probably better viewed from the end of Island Path. It was constructed on the top of a well built duck blind. Two birds sat at edges of the nest/blind, but I couldn't see any heads sticking up out of the nest, but there could have been young in the nest. The nest didn't look too deep.
