Text Box: Ice was out a bit late in 2007 and we had to cancel a couple of charters. It all ended up well and some very nice fish were taken in the spring. The summer months were also pretty decent. We had to fish a little earlier and a bit deeper to “catch the bite”.
Mid-July we were out of service for a couple of weeks while we went on a trip to Alaska.
We were also “down” the last two weeks of August for our “Annual” Lake Ontario trip. In 2008, the only time that we plan to be out of service would be the last of August.
Text Box: As has been the case for the last two year, the fishing after Labor Day was OUTSTANDING and some really big fish were taken. This is often a bit “Iffy” as the lake is pretty fragile this time of the year and it doesn’t take but a good NW wind to “Roll the lake over”. When that happens the cold water comes up and the warm water goes down. The results are that it is now time to put the boat away. Cold water fishing is done for the season. In “05” and “06” we fished right up to Sept. 30th. Not so for “07”. It all pretty much ended about Sept. 15th when a “Tropical “ rain storm went through.

Text Box: Reservations
Text Box: This might be a good time to start thinking about a reservation, if you are planning to fish with us this spring. We already have a fair number of charters booked for spring of 2008. I hope that we will be on the water & begin charters by no later than April 19th-20th. As usual, we will have our “On Call” list for charters if we have an early ice out. Let us know if you want on the list.
