Here's a good view from the rear.
OK, there's just a LITTLE BIT of light comming from the rear thusters!
This is the insides of an engine nacelle. There's two super bright blue LEDs, one facing directly
out the back, the other into a fat bundle of fiber optics. I took several strands of fiber to light the two directional
thrusters and left the rest to light the retro-thruster.
This shows the red-orange cockpit bucket backlit by a red-orange LED. You can see the leads of the
LED sticking out of the top of the model. Later on, those were cut much shorter to fit neatly inside. The interior
of the body is painted flat white to reflect the light around the inside and out the front. The circut card is mounted
just behind the bucket.
Here's the circuit card mounted inside the 'Fury. Its a good fit and is held in place with a few loops
of wire and some superglue. You can also see the LED that lights the cockpit just sitting there while I was deciding
where to mount it.

Wing damage, replaced panel and missing access hatch.
Ouch!, This Fury has seen rough times. An internal explosion
blew off a wing panel and access hatch. The bolt holes for the hatch were so mangled the crews had to leave it off.

Near miss on this engine nacelle!
A near miss scorched the paint off this engine nacelle, exposing the
aluminum skin beneath.
This effect was done by painting on aluminum metalizer, coating with
a salt slush, painting over with black, and washing away the salt to expose the metalizer beneath. Makes a nice rough
edge to the scorch mark.
