Hatshepsut is the daughter of Tutmosis I, and was married to her half-brother Tutmosis II, whose son (Tutmosis III) by a minor wife, was to be his successor. Tutmosis III was very young (9) when Tutmosis II died 1479 BC. Hatshepsut was made the regent, and she ruled as a Pharaoh for 20 years.
