Writing a book
2 1st graders at Hartland Consolidated SChool are practicing their writing skills (along with reading and the writing process) with Mrs. Pike during their occupational therapy sessions.  They hope to plan, write, illustrate and "publish" their book, tentatively titled "The Night at School" by the end of the year.

OT Happenings
The 1st and 2nd graders receiving OT at Corinna, Hartland and Palmyra have Pen Pals! They are writing letters back and forth with some of the kids at Vine St. School in Bangor.  The hope is that these letters will provide a fun, interesting way to work on penmanship, the writing process, organization, reading, and spelling.  So far the SAD 48 kids have written the first letter and are anxiously awaiting their first letters back from the Vine St. kids.

Sorry...
Unfortunately this blog does not allow outside postings as I thought it would. Therefore I am adding a guestbook.  Questions will be answered on the blog though so keep looking anyway! I will check at least every other day.
