Unzip the version of the zip file you select into an empty directory. To
execute run " PL.EXE ". You can change the programmer / pack type
from the menus. The default communications is Com 1:, 9600 baud, 8 data bits,
no parity and 1 stop bit. All these can be changed from the menus. Data I/O
recommends using only Ground ( pins 1 & 7 ), Send Data ( pin 2 ), Receive
Data ( pin 3 ), Request to send ( pin 4 ) and Clear to send ( pin 5 ) to
interface to your PC.
The program is dos based but runs in a dos window under windows. There have
been reports of problems using some faster Pentiums. You must put your Data
I/O programmer into remote control to run PromLink. See your operators manual
for information on how to start remote control for your programmer.
