"OUR PHILOSOPHY...Convert  your LP'S...45'S and Cassettes while preserving your precious vinyl...45's...LP Cover Art and 45 Picture Sleeves". We maintain the "warm analog sound"...

VINYL IS MAKING A HUGE COMEBACK...NOW ACCEPTING FALL CONVERSION PROJECTS!

There are still many audiophiles...and vinyl and tape cassette collectors...and just plain folks that love records...who have old LP's...45 RPM records and numerous cassette tapes from decades ago that sound terrible with vinyl pops...hisses...surface noise and turntable hum. Our Digital Conversion offers a solution which enables us to convert your precious and valuable vinyl records and cassette tapes to digital format and still maintain the "warm" vinyl sound of your original vinyl recordings.  New software and preamp technology allow us to perform this task.

Vinyl is currently making a huge comeback...so here's your chance to convert to a more convenient format and eliminate decades of wear and tear on your records...and still maintain your LP sleeves...liner notes and inserts. Some original LP's are worth a lot of money these days...so we offer you an opportunity to preserve your vintage vinyl...and still enjoy the warm analog sound loved by audiophiles the world over!

REASONS TO CONVERT

Because you can now have the flexibility of having your complete LP...45 RPM...or cassette collection at your fingertips on the go.  Additionally...each time you play a piece of vinyl...or a cassette tape...the quality degrades by tracking the stylus in the actual grooves...or in the case of cassette tapes having a build up of oxide by running the tape over the heads.  Eventually too much oxide on the play head will degrade the high end frequencies. Having your collection on either CD or DVD ensures playability for years to come...and your collection is much more compact too! Additionally...some LP re-issues are "edited" with tracks either left off or truncated from their original versions. I have several of these myself and it's frustrating to say the least to buy a CD that is incomplete from the original. What looks good in the store...may not be what you expected! Converting YOUR vinyl or cassette collection assures you'll get complete satisfaction. We also carefully clean all of your vinyl so that it's in the best condition possible to convert. All LP  transfers are recorded "flat" with no ESQ. or enhancements. These are made during the noise elimination and clean-up process. Cassette transfer are also recorded flat.

Our equipment includes a vintage Techniques SL-3200 Direct Drive Turntable and Shore M95ED Cartridge...both in excellent condition. We have maintained our original analog equipment in perfect condition over the past 30 years. We also use a Gem Sound preamp to covert the signal and several software packages to reduce...and in some cases almost completely eliminate...surface and other noise in those precious grooves. Additional EQ software allows us to use a number of vinyl "curves" to maintain your warm analog sound. Recent projects completed for our customers indicate excellent results...especially on some vinyl that is over 50 years old.

For cassette conversions we use a vintage Sony TCU WR510 Cassette Deck which have yielded excellent operational results and we have assisted customers to convert this media as well. The Dual Cassette option also allows us to make an additional cassette copy for you as well if desired.

We use a 1 TB Western Digital External HDD for extended storage and backup for all of our projects.

Vinyl and Cassette Tape Restoration and Conversion...Our Philosophy

An area of expertise we will specialize in is the restoration and preservation of long out-of print-recordings such as the RCA Victor Red Seal and London catalog of Classical records from the 1940's...1950's...and 1960's...Spoken Word...Blues...Jazz...Big Band...Comedy...and other rare vinyl and tape cassette recordings. Converting these types of original recordings not only insures their viability for future generations...but also provides a convenient method of enjoying them once they are safely on CD's or DVD's. Again...re-issues may NOT contain the entire original recording...or may contain poor track editing. Our personalized consultation and service will insure YOU of preserving your recordings the way YOU want.  Continued equipment and service upgrades in the future include disc duplicating and additional noise reduction software.

An overlooked area is preservation of LP "cover art" on LP's.  Some 45 RPM picture sleeves in good or excellent condition are worth considerable money and this process will help you maintain good condition of your original LP jackets and picture sleeves.

We also anticipate being able to convert old 78 RPM records as well in the future.

A note of caution...if your records have skips or cracks in them...there is little or nothing we can do to avoid that during the transfer. We can reduce all but the severest of scratches on your vinyl.  The success of each conversion will depend on the actual condition of your records at the time we do the work. If your records have been neglected and are in very poor condition...we will do our very best to improve the sound and eliminate as much noise as possible...but in those conditions we can't guarantee 100% success.

Minimum fee is $25.00 per CD which includes...complete LP cleaning...vinyl transfer...track separation...preservation and restoration...and label printing. The same standards apply for tape cassette recordings also...although there is little we can do to clean up your original tapes.  We plan to maintain our cassette deck for optimum playback capabilities. We personally supervise the complete process for optimum results. Actual fee will depend on the amount of prep work...noise-reduction...and track separation involved.

Minimum pricing for DVD's is $75.00 for an average 3 LP conversion per DVD.

Please understand this process is labor intensive for the best possible conversion results.

We will be happy to discuss your custom conversion needs with you. Please feel free to call us at 207-856-6097.
