RECENT EVENT - 14th Annual Silent and Live Auctions and 11th Annual Chili & Chowda Contest

Over 400 area citizens attended this years event raising just under $15,000!

Eleven local chefs prepared thier favorite Chili and Chowda recipies in an attempt to gain first place bragging rights of "Best Chili" and "Best Chowda"

This year's winners of the "People's Choice" and "Judge's Choice" for "Best Chili" went to first time participants "Above and Beyond Catering" chefs / owners Gina Sawtelle and Mary Ann Ratteree.

And the "People's Choice" and "Judge's Choice" for "Best Chowda" went to repeat winning chef R. Spencer Page of "Varney Crossing Nursing Care Facility"

The voting and judging was very close as the judges needed extra time and samples to make their choices.

The Silent and Live Auctions were very well attended and garnered nearly 100% of the total net value of all the products on the floor, meaning folks in attendance were in the buying and giving spirit and truly came to support the "Program" as was evidenced by the nights total of nearly $15,000.

The entire Sanford Elks Lodge, Maine Children's Cancer Program Golf Committee would like to extend our deepest appreciation and Thanks to all who have given of their time, money and contributions over the past twelve months! Thanks to all of you this year's total is a new committee record of $117,000!!!
