General Information

The artist, Kyle Leach, is best known for the wax floral arrangements he makes, which can be used for almost any occasion.  From spring weddings, to centerpieces for the holidays, there is not an event for which these arrangements cannot be tailored.  Miniature wax fruit floral arrangement is a non mechanized process in which handmade, fired dough fruit is wax dipped manually, and then arranged and combined with other materials to form a truly unusual form of floral art. This beautiful tradition was passed down from his grandmother to him and even today only family members know the recipe and dipping techniques.
Kyle has many acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media pieces available for purchase and in the future he also plans to have remade furniture available. The items on this website are only available through the artist or from a few select businesses in southern NH. Delivery of Happiness Tree items via shipment is not possible due to the delicate nature of those items. Shipping of paintings is possible, but it not the preferred method of transit to buyers.

Biography of an Artist

Kyle During Yule

Kyle Leach was born in Wurzburg, Germany . His father, Frank Randel Leach of Brownwood, Texas was in the military and his mother Linda Louise Patrick Leach of Williamsburg, VA, was a teacher.

From an early age he was creative and loved to express himself through song, dance, and merriment. By five he knew he wanted to be an artist and his mother recorded these lofty aspirations in his baby book.

For years he struggled trying to find the right medium and proper outlet for his energies. By his teens his grandmother brought him into the world of making Happiness Trees. There was a little bit of everything involved in making them and in the end they were like an impressionist painting brought into three dimensional form.

Now, after many years of working for a paycheck doing things other than his art, Kyle has now settled at the gateway to the White Mountains, close to both the lakes region and the seacoast of New Hampshire, in the ideal setting, to focus his attention on painting, writing, and making Happiness Trees.

Kyle also enjoys reading, films, gardening, and is an avid hiker. He loves to travel, having been to a third of the states in the union, to Canada, and Mexico. He is a published poet, an active environmentalist, a vegetarian, and a loves his many animal companions. His friends are his greatest source of enjoyment and he tries to spend as much time as he can with them.
