M74
M74 is a face on spiral galaxy located in the constellation Pisces. This image is an LRGB of ten four minute exposures (10x240 sec)and 2-five minute exposures for the luminance using an Ultima 11"scope and Mx7c ccd camera guided with Star 2000 at f3.0 ! Light pollution was a definite consideration when taking this image and it was apparent that what is needed when imaging such objects in light pollution is many short exposures combined to increase the signal to noise ratio ! This will enable the camera to reveal subtle details in M74 without color distortion or grainy appearence !
