The purple dichroic makes the
Iris blossoms shimmer, and the metalic green leaves are beautiful and
lifelike. I have used the Iris theme on
both large (21") platters and smaller (14 3/4") plates. I have
varied the background using dark blue, iridescent lavendar, and nearly clear
light purple as in the photo. In some cases, by firing the glass to a hotter
temperature, the Iris pattern is flat on the underlying glass. In other
cases, I leave it raised somewhat to create more dimension. 20 inch, 15
