Dancing

Dancing Dolphins is a piece
inspired by a Hawaiian quilt. In March, 2000, my family and I charterred a
sailboat that took us out among the spinner dolphins off the coast of Oahu. I
will never forget the joy I felt watching them play. The dolphins in this piece are
playful and textured for a three-dimensional feel. I have used silver
dichroic glass to insure the dolphins are the focus of your attention. The
background glass is aqua blue with a splash of iridescence. The outer layer
of waves is dichroic glass reflecting many shades of blue, much like the
amazing waters in Hawaii. 16 inch |
