Everyone has a passion. It is something that you value as much as life itself. For some, it is their faith. Others, family.
Others, well, I knew one guy that told me "Football is my Church." He watched the pre-game shows, all the games during the
day straight through the Sunday night game on ESPN. Every Sunday.
Others still, like Jimmy Fallon's character in "Fever Pitch", live and die with the Red Sox. I actually know someone
who went to the bank last October to change his debit card PIN number from 1918 to 2004. I believe he was not alone.
Mine is auto racing. Gee, Uncle Mike, you really think so? This might explain all these friggin' pictures of
sprint cars. Sheesh......
I will get up early on a Sunday morning to make sure I catch the start of the Formula One race on The SPEED Channel.
When I was a kid, I think I used to listen to all the NASCAR Grand National races on the radio. When I got first New England
Wireless, then Dish Network, I would watch all the races that came on. TNN had a bunch of them and always had a live race
on a Friday Night. I watched the Busch races, Outlaws, ASA, and more. With Anthony racing, I go to more races and miss a lot
of the Saturday night ones on TV. But I keep up to date on all the news via the internet.
For my sister, Margie, her first passion is the theatre. Just as important.....football. Not NFL football, although,
back in their heyday, she was a big 49ers' fan. I'll never forget the time I was watching one 49er game and Margie mentioned
a player's name and commented how the announcers never talk much about him but he is always there and in the middle of everything.
Not thirty seconds later, John Madden said THE EXACT SAME THING ABOUT THE SAME PLAYER. WORD FOR WORD.
Nearly fell off the couch. Almost wanted to call FOX Sports and suggest they hire Margie as an analyst.
No, Margie's football passion is English Football. To us, we call it Soccer. Margie is hooked on the English Premier
League on the FOX Soccer Channel. To the point where she gets up early on a Saturday morning to catch the game live.
And this is the girl that in no way shape or form is a morning person.
Her team- Newcastle United. DO NOT confuse this with Manchester United. She hates Manchester United. She will root for
whoever is playing against ManU.
The other teams she follows are Arsenal and Bolton. Her favorite players are Alan Shearer(Newcastle), Gary Speed(Bolton,
but used to play for Newcastle) and Dennis Bergkamp(Arsenal).
She even bought a Newcastle jersey.
She knows all the players on all the teams and even watches SKY Sports News to stay up to date on all the happenings.
Which brings us to this morning. She is getting up early because friends are coming over for breakfast and then- The
FA Cup final between Arsenal and Manchester United.
Stay tuned.
Well, there you have it. I am a Star Wars Geek. If you don't believe me, ask my sister. I really enjoy putting together
the LEGO Star Wars stuff. I really want to put together the huge AT-AT, but at 100 bucks and WHERE WOULD I PUT IT???.........
Wait until Batman Begins comes out. I actually won a stuffed Batman toy at the Fair one year. I was very happy.
Sigh.
May the Force be with you all.........

Kerrrr.....poooooh....
Cup your hand over your mouth and in a deep voice, breathe in through your mouth while making a "Kerrrrr" sound. Exhale
out your mouth while making a "pooooh" sound.
GO AHEAD, TRY IT! You know you want to. I do it all the time.
To everyone who went to the midnight showing, I was there in spirit.
Physically, I was working late at school again. I had to stop and go up to give a Girl Scout Troop
a tour of the museum. I then came back and finished.
A lot of people are checking out my site. Thank you for visiting. Enjoy your stay.

Dirt Modified Day. Kenny Tremont, Mike Perotte, and Dave Camara make their debut on the site.
Added the 2005 Racing Photos page. Will try to add more photos all the time.
Was able to re-format the Archives Page. Got it into three columns now. Much neater. Did the same with the racing page.
Came out great.
Enjoy!

Must mow my lawn!!
Must have a nice, warm, sunny, dry, breezy day.
That's not so much to ask, is it?
Fairfax Historical Society meeting went well. Listened to audio tapes of older residents telling how Fairfax used to
be, who lived where, and such. All had a good time. Thanks to everyone for showing up and to Elaine for making the goodies.
Am going to redo the Picture of the Day Archive. I set it up wrong. I need to have like three pictures side by side instead
of the way it is now.
Will also add a sprint car photo album page.
Congratulations to Kasey Kahne for finally winning Saturday night. He is the current driver I am following closely.
