The Olympic Spirit comes to Fairfax

This is such a neat picture. Davis Wildman, Bob Martin, and Margie agreed to pose for a picture to celebrate the 2006 Winter Olympics. Everytime I look at it, I smile.

Retiring FXFD Chief Jim Field hands over his helmet to new Chief Dean Potter

After 18 years of leading the Fairfax Fire Department, Jim Field stepped down as Fire Chief. On Tuesday, March 14th, after the Fairfax Selectboard approved the new slate of officers, Jim brought in his Chief's gear. I asked them if I could get a symbolic picture of Jim handing his helmet to Dean. Great shot.

This was the picture featured on WCAX.

Back in June, I was on my way to the fire station, when Daisy Collins stopped me to give me a couple of items for the museum. On my way out, I noticed this isolated storm over Essex/Underhill/Jericho way. I told Daisy to come out and see this. At first look, I wondered if it was a tornado, but it wasn't spinning. I realized it was just a downpour taking place. I took a bunch of photos and posted one on my site. The next day, Chris Santee was urging me to send it to WCAX. I sent this picture in, and in mid-July, they showed it on the 6 o'clock news.

Teamwork

The title says it all. We were testing hose down behind school, and once the testing was done, it all had to go back onto the truck. I was helping out, but took a break to get this picture.
Great, great shot. Kyle Williams uses it on her MySpace page.

Ribbon cutting ceremony at the official opening of the rec path

I nailed it! The ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the rec path. Some had made their cut, some were still cutting, the cut ribbon suspended in mid-air. Yes!

Could you do me a favor?
If you use one of my photos on your website or anywhere else,
would you please give me credit?
I know some sites that have photos on them, have their name or website written on them in a rather obvious place. I'd rather not do that.
So, if you use one of my pictures for something, give ol' Uncle Mike credit for taking the picture.
Thanks! I'd appreciate it.
