DECEMBER
2007 is almost over.
They are still fine-tuning the storm for Sunday, Monday and maybe Tuesday.
Outside Christmas decorations will go up before it hits.
Never know. Could still end up a green Christmas.
BBC will have their Doctor Who advent calendar starting today.
I will be out and about getting pictures of the village decorations this weekend.
In four days, I will be 47. Is that even possible???

WIND
Did it need to blow THAT hard?
I was walking back to school after supper and heading along the street past the Town Clerk's Office and the old bus garage.
I had all I could do to keep walking forward.
And now all the weather people are pouring over their computers trying to figure out what will happen Sunday and Monday.
Generally, if they start talking about a system a week in advance, it will be a big one.
Thus, I must make sure to get house encased in plastic before it gets here. Most of it is done. I just hope the
wind stops blowing so I CAN do it. Wind and plastic do not go well together.
Unless you are going sailing.

NEW LOOK TO THE BROWSER
I updated the Microsoft Internet Explorer to IE 7.
Margie told me I might freak out at first, but it's nicer to use. What's really interesting is there are little icons
in conjunction with the websites I have in my bookmarks and in the address bar.
Also, a couple of sites look really different with the IE7. The schedule page for Setanta Sports looks newer and different.
I had 9/10ths of an inch of rain in the raingauge the other morning. Mill Brook is up, again. The Lamoille River has
stayed high all month. A lot of rain this November. I think Burlington is almost 2 inches above normal for the month.

BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS
I went for a walk around the village Sunday night, and noticed people have started decorating for Christmas.
Thus, you're going to start seeing pictures of such being posted off and on.
I'm thinking of putting the lights up at the museum this weekend. It will be December then.
You can click "Christmas 2006" of the side to see the pictures from last year.

THE FAIRFAX PRESS CORPS
I was checking finances at the ATM at the Union Bank when Chris Santee snagged me. Chris had gotten together with the
Union Bank and the Fairfax Pharmacy to send some Christmas cards and candy to the U.S. troops stationed overseas.
Henry Raymond was on his way up to do a photo shoot of some Christmas cards done by BFA students. Chris wanted to know
if I wanted to take some, as well.
Sure! I can put a couple on my website.
Henry has a bunch of photos on his forum and a link to a slide show.
We have quite the Press Corps in town. Chris, Henry, myself, Rick Burnham, we certainly keep everyone up to date as to
what's going on in Fairfax.
