Of the
Central New Hampshire Forest Fire Wardens Association
Constitution
I. The
name of this Association shall be the Central New Hampshire Forest Fire Wardens Association.
II. The object of this Association shall be to provide a better and more
efficient forest fire protection system for Central New Hampshire and to assist and cooperate with the New Hampshire Division
of Forests and Lands in the protection, development and improvement of the woodlands and forests of the state, and to promote
more friendly relations between members of the association.
By-Laws
I. Membership
A. Active Members
1. All forest fire wardens, their deputies and special
deputies.
2. All chiefs, their assistants and members of their
fire departments in Central New Hampshire may be active members of this association. .
3.Any person interested in the protection, improvement
and development of the woodlands and forests
4. After the adoption of these By-Laws, any
person desiring to become a member of this association shall make application to the Secretary in writing.
B. Honorary Members
1. This association may, from time to time, elect such Honorary-
Members as it deems appropriate.
2.After the adoption of these By-Laws, a committee shall be
appointed annually for consideration and nomination at the annual meeting.
II. Officers
A. The officers of this association shall be:
President,
First Vice-President,
Second Vice-President,
Secretary- Treasurer,
Executive Committee of Three.
B. The President shall preside at all meetings when present,
in the absence of the President, the First Vice President shall preside; and in his absence, the Second vice-president.
C. There shall be an Executive Committee of three members besides
the officers. These members shall be elected as
follows: one member to serve a term of one year, one for two and one for three years. At each Annual Meeting, one member,
the immediate past president, shall be elected to the Executive Committee for a term of three years. , .
D. There shall be two (2) delegates
and two (2) alternate delegates elected annually from the Central New Hampshire Forest Fire Wardens Association to be
representatives to the New Hampshire State Federation of Forest Fire Warden Associations.
E. The Executive Committee shall
have the power to fill any offices which become vacant.
F. The President or Presiding Officer may, from time to time, appoint such other committee(s) as they shall see fit, and
define their duties, and authorize the Treasurer to expend
an amount up to fifty dollars ($50.00) without a vote of the Association.
G. The secretary shall keep proper records of all meetings,
attend to all correspondence and perform such other duties as may be required by the president and the executive committee.
The secretary is to receive all money and pay the same to the treasurer taking receipt for the same.
H. The treasurer shall receive all money from the secretary,
pay all bills after the same have been approved.
A financial statement shall be prepared and read at the annual
meeting or at such other time as required.
I. They shall be reimbursed for monthly expenses incurred in
the performance of their duties.
1.The Secretary and Treasurer shall each receive fifty
dollars ($50.00) annually at the annual meeting.
III. Elections
A. The officers shall be elected at the annual meeting each
year, to hold office for one year or until their successors are elected.
B. The Annual Meeting shall be held on the second Tuesday in
November of each year.
IV. Fees to Join Association
A. Fees shall be FIVE DOLLARS ($5.00) and shall be the
first years dues.
B. Active Members dues shall be FIVE DOLLARS($5.00) per
year, all dues expiring on the second Tuesday of November annually.
C. Honorary members shall not pay dues.
D. Any member failing to pay their dues for two consecutive
annual meetings shall be deleted from the membership of the Central New Hampshire Forest Fire Wardens Association.
V. Meetings
A. The regular monthly meeting shall be held on the 2nd Tuesday
of each month excluding December,January, and February.
The March meeting will be held the third Tuesday of the month.
B. Special meetings may be called any time by the president
or by the executive committee.
C. The association may at any meeting determine by vote the
place of the next meeting.
D. The order of procedure at all regular meetings shall be
conducted according to Robert's Rules of Order Revised:

3. Welcome from the host Warden
4. Introduction of Deputy Wardens, Special Deputy Wardens and guest(s)
5. Thank the cooks
6. Reading of correspondence
7. Secretary's report
8. Treasurer's report

11. Old business
12. Committee reports
13. New business
14. Report from the Concord Office and/or Ranger comments
15. Sick/Death list
16. Date and place of the next meeting
17. Adjournment of meeting
18. Program/Entertainment
19. September Meeting - Appoint Auditing Committee
20. September Meeting - Appoint Nominating Committee
21. November Meeting - Election of Officers
E. Ten members shall constitute a quorum.
F. Notice of all meetings shall be mailed to all members
by the secretary or designee at least one week before said meeting.
VI. AMENDMENT TO BY-LAWS
A. The Constitution and By-Laws may be amended at any meeting by a two-thirds
vote of the members present, provided notice of such proposed amendment has been sent to each member at least
one week prior to said meeting.
