Third International HRO Conference

HRO

Time is Running Out! January 9-10, 2010
The Third International Biannual Conference on High Reliability Organizing for Researchers and Practitioners will be featured at the University of New Orleans Jan. 9-10, 2010. The Wildland Fire Lessons Learned Center is helping sponsor this event. Karlene Roberts, PhD, and Karl Weick, PhD, are the keynote speakers! Check out the workshop's information at www.high-reliability.org ASAP because registration is limited and the price increases after Thursday Dec. 10, 2009. Are you running late on registration? Submit a practitioner's abstract. If accepted, you can register at the early rate of $290.00, even if you submit the abstract after December 10th.

Many of our people are HRO savvy and can play a significant role in representing the wildland fire community at this workshop. There is a call for abstracts for HRO practitioners in addition to HRO researchers that will give you an international forum for what you have learned that will likely benefit others. Consider submitting an abstract for a 10-15 minute presentation. Even if you just attend, the networking and discussion opportunities with others interested in HRO from many high-risk industries from around the world will be a personal and professional growth opportunity.
