May meeting:

The K1FS business meeting was held aat NMCC, Martin Building, room 213

Those in attendance were:

Don, N1YQU; Larry, KB1DLN; Sam, W5KF; Mike, KB1GKY; Dave, KB1EBG; Freeman, KE1JQ; Arnold, KB1MGY; Sonny, K1VOR; Elmer, AA1OQ.

The Guest speaker was Officer Peter Johnson of the Presque Isle Police Department.

Officer Johnson discussed the newly implemented laws and various recent events. A general discussion followed,. with a question and answer period.

The meeting was called to order at 1925 Hrs.

Secretary`s Report: Approved.

Treasurer`s Report: Sam reports a balance of $2,316.55 with $60.00 in dues received.

Old Business: Tents and shelter arrangements for Field Day have still not been determined. Jim says he has a tent we can use. It was decided that the tent should be at least 20 feet long.

By unanimous vote it was decided to get the tent now on sale at Walmart. Mike Brown will pick it up.

New Business: Scotty is home and doing well.

The County Emergency Management will conduct a Cold Weather emergency training session at 8 AM on Saturday the 16th of May in the Old Lions Building in Caribou. Lunch will be available for $5.00, then out to Collins Pond for rescue training. Call Freeman for additional info.

For Field Day, it was agreed that all club members should bring their own chairs. It has not been definitely established that tables will be provided so it might be a good idea to furnish your own if operating.

The meeting was adjourned at 1944 hours.

The pot was won by Sam. $2.70
