The Shop began in January 04. Upon arrival to the boards,
I found them to be a bit bumpy. I felt there was a need for a "safe" place for posters to go. A place where we could
relax and feel welcomed, share a cup of coffee and a joke or thought of the day. The Coffee Shop was an alternative place
for "chatting". The Coffee Shop has grown and grown since it's opening. The success comes from the GREAT posters that post
there. They are so positive. It was on this day one year ago when I said goodbye to the folks on the board and the Coffee
Shop, it was offered to anyone who wanted to pick the key up. Someone did, and that person was Adds, she took the keys and
has opened it on a continual bases for the past year. She has opened it even when times were lean. If on that day a year ago,
Adds hadn't done what she did, I'm not sure what the boards would be like for me. Adds has kept our "safe" place open and
alive and I am forever grateful to her for that. The Coffee Shop ALWAYS feels like home.
An article from Starbucks was posted today and I found
it to be very interesting.
Friends come for the java but stay for the love.
I find this to be the case in the Coffee Shop. There is SO much warmth and love in here, it's good for the soul.
There are always special moments at the Coffee Shop but
personally the afternoon of Oct 8, 2004 is at the top of my list, the return of Scuba Steve to the Dream Home Boards:

Hello fellow dreamers. I am sooo glad to be back
amongst all ya'll, however, find my self somewhat exhausted. I don't know when I'll be able to get the SSDD back up and running.
I was pleasantly surprised that everyone kept it opened in my absence. You are all very special people. I will just stay in
the coffee house for right now if you don't mind. K8 has a wonderful establishment and I like the environment. I'll be back
in the corner booth if you would like to sit and ......... chat! Maybe I will meet some newbies as well as bring the old clan
out from hiding.
