Bill Lagasse LCSW is a licensed Master Social Worker. Having graduated from University of New England with a Master’s
Degree in Social Work with Honors, and with Dual Concentrations in Clinical (individuals, families, and groups) and Community
& Organizational Change, Mr. Lagasse is fluent in leadership and development, as well as more intense individual and family
work.
Mr. Lagasse has been formally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Interventions, Family & Systems Teams, Sexual Assault
Crisis, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction and numerous other adolescent related trainings.
In terms of Leadership and Coaching, Mr. Lagasse has been informally trained in Project Management, Logic Model, Strategic
Planning, facilitation and Visioneering, Grant writing and several trainings on communication and negotiation. Mr. Lagasse
is a graduate of the Mid Maine Leadership Institute (a 12 week program to refine and prepare for leadership positions).
Other skills and comfort areas include the following: Empowerment and Reality-Based Therapies, Brief Treatment, Anger Management
and Stress Reduction/Management and working with offenders.
Mr. Lagasse has spent numerous years working in the social services field for such agencies as Volunteers of America Northern
New England, New Beginnings Emergency Shelter, Opportunity Farm, and John F. Murphy Homes, Inc. and carries significant experiences,
which further prepare him for creative work within Families, Teams, Individuals, and Youth.
Mr. Lagasse has extensive experience working with Homeless and At Risk Youth as well as with Correctional Youth in need
of brief treatment.
Bill is currently working towards his Cohort PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies through Union Institute and University in
Cincinnati, Ohio with his primary concentration being in Creative and Ethical Leadership and secondary concentration in Public
Policy.
