Thanks for stopping by the Blaisdell Brothers Racing Web site.
My name is Jon Blaisdell and I live in Dixfield, Maine with my wife Sonia, my son Kyle, and our three very spoiled Labrador
Retrievers.
My daughter Jessica recently got married to long time beau and all around
good guy, "Handsome Dave". Mr. and Mrs. Robbins have bought a beautiful house in
Windsor , life is good!
I've been playing with snowmobiles since I bought my first sled, a 1970 Ski-Doo
Olympic, brand new, at age 14. Of course the first thing I did was remove the air box and start adjusting the high speed jet
to make it go faster....and before long stuck the piston!
Well, it's been a lot of years, and quite a few more pistons, but I still have a passion for making fast sleds go
faster.
I started drag racing in the 80's on the ice and grass circuits, racing Polaris
sleds at various events in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, and the grass drags at Marilla N.Y.
It was around this time ( 1984 ) I also started a small snowmobile parts bussiness to support our racing effort
called Webb River Performance, which I still operate today.
My favorite track back then was Northwood NH, where tough competitors like Walter Briggs,
Gus Bohne, Larry Audette, Dave
Copeland, and Don Lewis, all contributed to making us work
harder to stay competitve.
Today, my brother Jim and I, field a team of Arctic
Cats, at local drags , speedruns and lake-racing events, just for fun, with our families.
This is my first venture on making a Web site so please forgive some of the grainy photos. I've tried to add some comments
to each section to give a little insight into the sport from our perspective. Hopefully, I'll get a little better at this
and keep it interesting. I'll be updating as the season starts and will include our competitors and friends ( they are usually
one and the same) in the photo galleries.
On the Amsnow, SnoWest
and HardcoreSledder forums I now post under "fastkatz". If you ever see us at the races or "Outlaw" events stop by and say Hi ! We enjoy meeting
people who share our enthusiasm for high performance snowmobiles.
