"J" BOATS
I have now developed a series of fittings that may be used on AMYA "J" boats and other large
models. The gooseneck and matching boom vang are very strong, and designed to bolt onto the Ludwig mast and boom extrusion.

GOOSENECKS
Custom made goosenecks can
be machined from brass per your dimensions. The mast and boom diameters must
be given for the quote. An approved sketch shall be done before machining. These
goosenecks consist of four parts: The boom connection uses brass tube soldered
to the boom hinge. The mast band, pin and main hinge complete the assembly. Hardware

This half-band gooseneck is available for various mast and boom diameters. The picture shows a custom unit which
is for a mast diameter of 5/8inch and a boom diameter of 3/8 inch. A matching boom vang can match this mast mount. The
sail shackle shown is included.

The small flat mount gooseneck mounts on a 1/4 inch wide flat area on your mast. The mast mount is 1/4 inch wide
by 3/4 inch long and the mast mounting holes are countersunk for flat head screws ( Included). The boom mounts by drilling
a 3/16 diameter hole in the boom and glueing the probe into the boom. Your boom may be faired into the 3/8 inch
brass boom diameter or different boom diameters may be ordered. This gooseneck includes a small shackle bolted with
#0-80 hex hardware.

The large flat mount gooseneck mounts on a 3/8 inch wide flat area on your mast. The mast mount is 3/8
inch wide by 1 5/8 inch long and the mast mounting holes are countersunk for three flat head screws (included).
The boom mounts by drilling a 3/16 diameter hole in the boom and glueing the probe into the boom. Your boom may
be faired into the 3/8 inch brass boom diameter. Different boom diameters may be ordered. This gooseneck includes
a small shackle bolted with #0-80 hex hardware.

NEW !! ADJUSTABLE BOOM VANG
Now there is an adjustable boom vang to match the flat mount gooseneck. This unit mounts with brass
flat head screws on the mast and round head screws on the boom (provided). The flat mounting surfaces are 1/4 inch wide.
The long rod is 3/32 tube and the mounts are machined from solid brass stock. The length may be adjusted 5/8 inch and
is locked with a #2-56 hex nut.

BOOM VANGS
Various configurations and sizes may be manufactured. The vang length may be modified for
your custom use.
The picture below shows the three general sizes of vangs. The
top unit is about 6 inches long, and used for boats up to 36 inches overall.
The mid unit is about 10 inches long, and used for boats up
to 56 inches overall.
The lower unit is about 15 inches long, and used for BIG boats
including "J" boats. The adjustment thread for this unit is #10-32 and uses 5/16 inch rod.
