STROKE AND TURN CERTIFICATION & STARTER CERTIFICATION

WHEN:

Tuesday, June 17, 2008, 5:45pm — 8:00 pm (Stroke and Turn)

Tuesday, June 17, 2008, 5:45pm 8:30pm (Starter clinic)

WHERE: St. Michael’s College Pool Classroom, Colchester, VT

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Anyone interested In learning to officiate Learn the USA swimming rules and regulations for swimming and help run our swim meets. Officiating is a volunteer activity and a way to help our kids have a quality swim program

WHAT’S INVOLVED? Attend a clinic and take the USA swimming officials test (open book) once every two years; join USA Swimming; work at meets and have fun with a great group of parents who are already officiating.

Directions from south: Interstate 89 to exit 15, bear right at bottom of ramp heading east on Route 15, turn left at first traffic light into St. Michael’s parking lot.

Directions from north: Interstate 89 to exit 16, Route 2 & 7 south, in Winooski head east on Spring Street to Route 15 (follow signs to 1-89 south). Pass under Interstate 89 heading up hill to first traffic light. Turn left into St. Michael’s parking lot. The pool and Ross Sports center are in the far corner.
NOTE TO RE-CERTIFYING OFFICIALS: Bring your blue cards and current USA Swimming ID card. Starter candidates need 2 years experience as a Stroke and Turn official before advancing to Starter.
