The 27th Maine Regimental Association
Set up in 1882, the veterans and families of the reg't met annually at various locations in York County or around Maine.

I have copied many reunion notices from various local newspapers, which included (at times) names of some of those who attended the events. Larger clippings will be scanned and posted in their appropriate years.

NOTE: In many instances, there was hardly a mention of the 27th ME reunion in area newspapers, but luckily many individual town notes still carried some news. Around the time of 27 August there were many family association reunions, including a very large annual Locke family get together (as well as Pepperell, Stackpole,et al), but the largest event was the GAR gathering somewhere in the US, and the annual NH Veteran's Association up in the Weirs that seemed to take precedence in the newspapers.
