Small Group Ministry Program 2004-5:

The purpose of our meeting in small groups is to establish a safe and caring environment where we can develop friendships and experience personal and interpersonal growth through teaching, learning, prayer and fellowship.

Small groups have a Biblical Precedence

Jesus began His early ministry by establishing His small group with twelve disciples.

The first century church met house to house, as well as in temple courts.

Over fifty biblical "one anothers" admonish us to be closely inolved with a few others in order that we might learn the attitudes and behavior that should characterize God's household, the community of believers.

Small Groups - Knowing Jesus Personally and Practically  While we wait on God to send us a Pastor, our small group facilitators assume the key position of shepherds caring for the "flock".

We need to be committed to sharing what God is doing in our lives through the study of His Word.

We need to encourage each other to God for wisdom and strength.

We need to become helpers and servants in times of need, and

We need to remain united as the family of God.

Studies will begin either the third or fourth week in January.  Please confirm the exact starting date the the respective leaders.

The ACTS of The Apostles

The book of Acts gives us a window into the lives of men and women who not only accepted Jesus, but loved and worshipped Him and followed His commands, even unto death.  Convicted that they owed all to the One who died so that they might truly live, they were willing to suffer and even become martyrs.  They became the hands and feet of Jesus and their actions shaped the world with peace and comfort.  In this study we will attempt to portage these principles over the bridge of time and consider how we, who owe all to Jesus, should ACT today.  Leader: Don Perkins 569-7701  Location:880 Center Street, Wolfeboro, Tues. 7-8:30PM

The Book of Proverbs

The book of Proverbs adds and important dimension to the Old Testament.  It sets forth a skillful approach to daily living.  It might be considered God's book on "how to wise up and live".  It applies God's principles to the whole of life... to relationships, the home, work, justice, decisions, attitudes, reactions, everything a man says and even thinks.  Proverbs is as relevant today as it was in 700 BC when it was completed.  Though times have changed, people are essentially the same.  We have the same needs and desires, the same fears, problems, temptations and ultimate goals.  Since God inspired the authors to record what they did, the wisdom they wrote is timeless.  Leader: J. Thomassian 569-8222  Location: Home of David and Colette Locke, 2 Cross Neck Road, Mirror Lake, 569-3672, Tuesdays 7-8:30PM
