Welcome to One To Watch Farm - my model horse homepage!!
I hope to fill you in a little bit about the model horse hobby and a bit about me. If you have any questions,
please feel free to contact me. I'm always happy to help out people new to the hobby.
I received my first models when I was about 3 - 4 years old - a Family Arabian Mare in Palomino and a Bay Running Foal
- both by the company "Breyer". My father also brought 4 models into the house about the same time
- 3 bays who looked like Morgan's (Breyer's grazing mare and foal & stretched stallion) and a grey
"Old Timer" who's in harness with a hat (again, Breyer). Who could have guessed what these models
would have started! I now have over 700 models. The majority are by Breyer, with a few from Hagen Renaker (china),
Stone (plastic), and some Artist Resins (custom sculpted and painted horses). I am active in model horse showing
in the New England area (Region 10 in NAMHSA). I focus mainly on performance showing where you set models up in a setting
to represent something you would see in the real horse world. A great example is located to the right where I have my
Artist Resin "Doc's Promise" hitched to a meadowbrook cart going out for a fall trail drive. You can see
the detail in the set up with the stone wall and fall trees. This has been a winning set up for me over the years.
