Champlain Valley Fair
For more than 40 years, the Essex Junction Lions have prepared and served hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, and a variety of other foods at the Champlain Valley Fair each summer. Our all-volunteer staff puts in over 2000 hours of their time at this fund raising event. It takes weeks of planning, reparing, and cleaning our food booth to be able to serve nearly 5000 meals to hungry fairgoers.
One hundred per cent of the proceeds goes directly to the Essex Lions' general fund, which is uesd solely to provide charitable donations to organizations and individuals in the community.
Through the generosity of Sally Washburn, Kathy Rose, and
their associates, the semiannual shows have become one of the Essex Lions Club's top fund raising events. Each
show, hundreds of crafters donate an item to the Club to be used as a prize for a lottery-style charity raffle.
Visitors and exhibitors alike purchase thousands of dollars of raffle tickets, and in turn, receive the opportunity
to win one or more of the many unique products created by talented crafters. The Club donates 100% of the money raised
from the public to many local, state, and international charitable organizations or individuals in need of assistance. See Full News Story

The Essex Jct Lions Club will be conducting a 50/50 Raffle at this spring's event to be held at the
Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction.
The lucky raffle winner receives 50% of the total ticket sales for that day. The remaining 50% goes into the Lions General fund, which is uesd solely to provide charitable donations to organizations and individuals in the community.

Thanks to WOKO Radio 98.90 FM and the Champlain Valley Exposition, at various times throughout the year, WOKO sponsors a flea market at the Exposition.
