Capabilities

I have over 20 years experience in a wide variety of signal processing and analysis projects. Some specific capabilities include

DSP programming (C, assembly, time-critical code, interrupt handlers). Specific processors for which I have hands-on experience include Analog Devices fixed-point and floating-point, Texas Instruments TMS320Cxx, Atmel AVR family, ARM, Lucent/Agere DSP's.

Data acquisition (design of custom A/D, interfacing, and filtering hardware), using custom hardware, PCI, PC/104, RS-232/422.

In-house tools include DSP development boards and software, audio and video capture and display, and both Windows and Linux workstations and development software.

Analytical expertise includes

signal analysis for voice, biomedical, RF, and other sensor waveforms;
application of error correcting codes, including convolutional, Reed-Solomon, and Turbo.
DSP algorithms, including FFT, FIR and IIR filtering, adaptive filtering, demodulation.

And, of course, I have experience in the administrative details of proposal writing, project scheduling, and preparing and giving customer presentations.
