Teardrop Camper Construction Page

We had decided to build a teardrop camper for our winter project. So as we went seaching around the internet for ideas, we quickly found that almost everyone goes for the much easier to build 4'x8' version. And since this is the first trailer of any kind we are building, we decided that our box would have to be a bit larger than most. So to make the construction more of a challenge we decided to go with a 4 1/2' wide and 10' 4" long box version for more interior room. So with a couple of old trailer frames, some extra scrap metal, a welder, and a very vague plan in our minds.... We got to work. ;)

Step 1 Frame (Christmas)

Step 2 Shell (January)

Step 3 Doors and Hatch (February)

Step 4 Electrical (March)

Step 6 The Inside (May)

Step 7 First time camping on MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!
