Hi All,
Who says Friday the 13th is the day of bad things?
We got Dave's biopsy results back today, and to quote the doctor, "the Philadelphia is gone; this is very very good news." All the tests are done, and they found no leukemic cells. Guess Gleevec works as well as everyone has been saying it does! (okay, so I was a bit skeptical until we got the results...)
Dave will keep taking Gleevec for a while yet. Our next appointment is scheduled for September 10th, so we'll see where the doctor wants to go from there. Until then, we'll be happy knowing it's done it's thing, and Dave is once again leukemia free!
