The institute exists to help concerned citizens think that everything is going to be ok, at least for a while.  It posits that there are solutions to big problems like war, and global warming, and terrorism, and pandemic diseases, and peak oil, and genocide.  Though it is not directly involved with the details of the solutions to these problems, the institute maintains that it does no good to worry.  Sustainability exists now.  You can fill up your gas tank, eh?  What's the problem?  We keep on an even keel by laughing and forgetting.  Hence these pages.  Do you want to support the institute?  Send some money somewhere where it is needed.  In the meantime, enjoy the jokes!
