Hi All,
Just wanted to send you a quick update to let you know the new drug Dave is taking -- STI-571, or Glivec or Gleevec -- is working! His blood test results from yesterday showed his white blood cell count dropped from 19,000 last week to 7,400 this week. They're moving in the right direction!
There's not really anything else to report yet. He'll have another blood test next week, and then we're back in Boston on the 30th. He's still feeling fine -- except for his allergies, which are really beating him up. But he hasn't had any side effects from the STI.
