Essex Jct Lions Club Constitution is now online here.

The Essex Junction Lions Club is a civic organization of volunteers serving Essex Junction
and the surrounding area.
Lions Clubs worldwide took up sight conservation as their major goal after a speech by Helen Keller at the Lions Convention in 1925. At the time, Helen Keller challenged the Lions to become "Knights of the Blind", a challenge that has become a rallying cry for Lions projects around the world.

" Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement; nothing can be done without hope." (Helen Keller 1903)

" Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose." (Helen Keller 1933)

" As of September 30, 2005 Lions Clubs International had 1,317,456 menbers in 45,252 clubs and 753 districts in 194 countries and geographic areas. " - The Lion magazine, Dec '05 / Jan '06
