March 30, 2000 -- Day 21 -- Next stop - Shelburne!!
Hi Everyone!
We went to the doctor today, and he said everything looks good, so we're GOING HOME!!!!!
We'll be leaving Friday morning. Jaimison (Dave's son) is going to stop by in the morning to help us pack the car, then we're off!
I haven't updated the web page, but Dave's white cell count is 1.3 (but the percentages of the things they look at are good, and the doctor said those percentages tell him that the bone marrow is engrafting and starting to go to work!), and his platelets are 35 -- they've increased by themselves (without a transfusion). That's good news.
Other than that, we're just hanging out. Dave still tires easily, and will for the next couple of months, but I know the fresh Vermont air will do him lots of good! We're looking forward to getting home and settled back down.
Thank you everyone for all you have done for us -- cards, prayers, positive thoughts, jokes, and all the other wonderful things you did. You don't know how much it meant to us.
