March 31, 2000 -- Day 22 -- WE'RE HOME!!
Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to let you all know that we made it home safe and sound today. It feels wonderful to be home!! Our crocuses are blooming, the tulips and daffodils are poking themselves out of the ground, and spring is springing!
Dave is doing well. Pretty well tired out from the ride. I am too. But at least we get to sleep in our own bed tonight.
During dinner tonight Dave and I were talking about how it was 4 weeks ago tonight that we were being brought up to his hospital room and our whole Boston adventure was beginning. We knew today would come, but we didn't know when, and we didn't know what the road was going to be like. We planned for the worst, and hoped for the best. I think we made out all right.
Thanks for coming along for the ride. It made it a lot easier for us knowing you were all out there rooting for us. Never underestimate the power of positive thinking!
