In Albion, breakfast at Tim Hortens consisted of two sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches on a biscuit, and one cup of coffee. I took the orange juice with me when I left ... had that on the trail. The photo above is the last one in which you will see that front end bag on my bike ... nice handy container but I didn't like carrying weight that high on the bike, nor the way it wobbled around with handlebar movement. Before leaving Albion, the bag was loaded with everything I believed I could get along without and then shipped home. After that, the ride was much improved.

This canal boat is but one of a number seen during the ride. Operated by Mid-Lakes Navigation, they can be booked for a leisurely canal cruise. Read about such a cruise here.

Met a couple of nice ladies in Brockport after one stopped short in front of me.
She took the photo above, I took the one below.

It was a very pleasant encounter.

This pic was most likely taken during one of many pee stops ... not surprising considering all of the
water I consumed just to survive this adventure with no ill effects at all. Not bad for an old geezer.

Riding a bicycle through downtown Rochester was nothing less than a cyclist's survival experience. Couldn't ride the sidewalks ... too many people ... I took to the city streets where most traffic granted at least 24 inches of clearance on my left side and over on the right side, my handlebar was  2-4 inches from parked car mirrors. There was one area I considered just too dangerous, so I walked the bike on the sidewalk for a bit. Anyway, it was a little tense out there and certainly no time for fooling with a camera, so there are no downtown Rochester photos.

Perhaps due to the timing of my trip, I saw very few cyclists other than on the first and last days of riding, both of which happened to be Sundays. These two riders passed by as I paused to take the next pic.

It must have been the reflection that caught my eye while crossing this bridge in Rochester. Minutes later I crossed the bridge  shown beyond the canal boats. Next pic taken looking back from that one.

Leaving this location, I entered Genesee Valley Park where I encountered multiple opportunities to make a wrong turn. When traveling on a bicycle, it is unwise to go far without verifying the route. I did OK here, but later on in my trip I did manage to miss two important turns.

Arrived at this night's lodging just prior to sundown, really needing a shower, a meal and rest.

Just across the road was this Chinese restaurant where I ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan, took it back to my room and pigged out on it. It was most excellent.   ZZZZZZ . . . . . .  all night long.
