My roommate, John Schubert, headed out early this morning in spite of the rainy weather. As for me, I elected to stay here and wait for bluer skies. A day of rest didn't hurt me a bit.

Update: On Wednesday July 2nd, I received a phone call from John as he was cycling through Vermont in bad weather. We made arrangements for him to overnight in Rindge and at 8:00 PM that evening I plucked him from yet another of route 119's uphill climbs just west of Fitzwilliam.
