Item: House 4
Date: January 28, 2006
Location: Earth
The fourth house expedition, a long time coming, went as smooth as I could have hoped, with
the occasional bump in the road, along the way. After the pleasant introductions were made, and several stories
of the countless sightings, sounds and even mention of a photo of a ghost boy, we were shown the 3rd floor.
As we were shown the first of several unfurnished 3rd floor rooms, I stood at the top of the
stairs, while my co-investigator did a walkthrough. From the stairwell we had just climbed up, the door at the bottom
of the stairs slammed shut. Scaring at least 3 of my 9 lives with it. My co-investigator after refusing to investigate
the 3rd floor, for reasons unknown to me, at the time, quickly retreated back the way she had come. She had sensed that
spirits of this floor were not welcoming us, as much as we'd have liked. Leaving me with a puzzled look on my face,
and recorder in one hand and camera in the other.
I proceeded to alternate evp's with photos. Having just discovered the famous spiral
staircase Greenwich Ghost photo, I concentrated a little to much on the 4 staircases. in the building.
After about 20 1 minute evp recordings, and 35 or so photos, I moved down to the second floor.
Moving from room to room, I again alternated evp sweeps with photos, and videos. A vase of imitation roses, as I passed
through one door and closed it behind me, lost a rose. On the way back, I found it as I swung the door open, and it
lay centered in the doorway. Where it had been knocked or fallen. Instead of taking a quick pic, like I should
have, I sub-consciously picked it back up and replaced it. I was looking for a sign, could this have been it?
I continued moving from room to room and snapped the above pic, in the weight lifting room
of the second well furnished and lived in floor. Relying on the ability of my co-investigator to get the good evp's
I quickly went and met up with her and sent her to the second floor, for her own sweeps. While I made a quick check
of the basement.
When we met back up again in the dining area, my co-investigator and I both heard what sounded
like someone moving around back up on the second floor. We quickly scurried back up, and tried to find where the noise
had come from.
At which point, I somehow managed to talk her back into trying the 3rd floor. Not realizing
that she had her sneakers on, and she put them to good use. A normal sweep of the area, had taken me about a half hour,
she finished it in under 30 seconds. Although she did get some positive impressions from the stairwell, that had already
taken 3 of my lives and most of my photos.
After about a hour and a half of solid investigating, we were told more background stories
on the happenings. Also we were informed that a tv paranormal team had been intending to send their 10 man team
up Feb '05 to investigate, but never arrived. Now out of consideration for the group I won't mention their name or the
scifi channel (oops) their show is on. Thankfully leaving the door open for me and not slamming it shut (I still shiver)
Several of the EVP's mostly taken by my flighty expert, the first one probably my most conclusive
to date.

Paranormal Investigation: Lost Cemeteries
Location:North of Prospect, South of Winterport
Date:November 18, 2006
We had been disgusted with the condition of one of our own local cemeteries.
Sure it was from the 1800's. Sure it was a family plot. But still, when most of the stones are down, and being
lost to future generations in front of your very eyes it is disturbing.
This being said, of our own town, we can't point the finger at a neighboring
town. The first one, a family plot, barely kept up, with most of the stones laying flay, or propped up, was nothing
compared to the corner cemetery we saw on the way into this remote location.
The first one, had some interesting matrix forms, trees with full bodies,
not to awful much on the EVP front. We did try a double concentration, at which point we both saw a little girl with
curly hair. I saw her in a red plaid dress, and straw hat. My co-investigator saw the same girl, with dark curls,
accompanied by an elderly woman, who both seemed to be visiting the cemetery. I had never had much luck, with the visualization
technique. Skoffed it off, to over active imaginations, fueled by a caffeine drip. So when it happens to you,
you have to do a little rethinking.
One of the current theories, in order for a spirit to manifest, they
have to receive energy from someplace. If they don't drain your batteries, they might drain something else. In
both are cases, we instantly started in with headaches. Mine felt like a knitting needle being driven through my forehead,
and then my brains scrambled. To the point upon leaving, that I wasn't sure which side of the road to drive on, and
yes instead of a steering wheel, I felt like I should be pulling on the reigns of a wagon.
Thankfully, I didn't have far to drive. We parked at the cemetery
we spotted on the way in. The few stones that were propped up, on logs or wood, obviously not in their original positions.
As we scurried about, uncovering carefully with hands, and feet the thick layers of fallen leaves, we found stone after stone.
I even found a huge monument, with several names from one family that must have been over 6 feet when standing.
We managed 3 good name EVP's, almost as if the spirits were helping
to identify there long unkept, and forgotten cemetery. It makes me wonder what the original family, that buried their
loved ones, in a once active community, growing from the granite, that was quarried nearby. Then as the granite industry
crashed, and families died or moved away, the cemetery is left to the ravages of time.
Regardless of family plots or not, all cemeteries should be maintained.
With fences around, and grounds kept. Not just out of respect of the people who are buried there, but also for the future
generations. Not to mention the future generations of Paranormal Investigators, I mean come on people, lets not forget
them. So sayeth the rantor.
